Children of Ether
The Children of Ether, later called the Sons of Ether, split from the Technocracy in 1903. This bifurcation of the technomancers was a direct result of the Technocracy’s reactionary policies toward female scientists. When Marie Curie won her second Nobel Prize in 1903, the Technocracy judged one of their own to be a reality deviant, and moved to eliminate her. After the attack almost every female technocrat, and many male sympathizers, left The Technocracy. It was years before they were accepted into the Mage Traditions, and their alliance with the Sorcerers is still shaky at best.
